It should be added that before the Fall, Adam and Eve were incorrupt and immortal. The man speaking with Mr. Colbert messed up. The issue that Satan would have had is that at this point, humans were not all-knowing and were flesh/spirit creatures with even more limits on their capabilities than the Angels. Add the suffering Messiah and the fact that a woman would be greater than the most powerful of the Seraphim, and you see how Satan got enraged. It could be argued that humans had the ability to be corrupted which made them inferior, but so did the angels. Satan was corrupted by his pride and love of self while we were corrupted by our ambition to be like God.
